Pinnacle Homestay Dawaipani

Direct cars/taxis are available from the airport, NJP, and Siliguri to Dawaipani through NH 10. The total distance is around 70 km from Siliguri and it will take around 2-3 hrs. to reach. From tin, mile take the right turn, which will go straight down, very steeply winding and binding its way through the dense pine forest. You also can reach Dawaipani from Darjeeling via Ghoom.

Dawaipani area can be reached through Peshok Road, which connects Darjeeling with Kalimpong. The stretch between Jorebungalow and Teesta Bazar on this road is called Peshok Road. The road itself is quite beautiful and there are small villages along the road. Two such villages are the 3rd mile and the 6th mile. The name of the place indicates the approximate distance from the Jorebungalow crossing.

From both the 3rd mile and 6th mile there is a Northbound road that can take you to Dawaipani. The road from 3rd mile is more obvious and difficult to miss. This is also the original road to reach Dawaipani, but the road itself is not in good condition. The 6th-mile road is more recent, and in better condition and the distance is also shorter. However, unlike the 3rd-mile road, this road does not originate at exactly the 6th mile but is about 500 meters away from the village. From here, take a left where the road climbs – Dawaipani is about 6.5 Km from this turning.

The village of Lamahatta is about 8 km away and you can visit Lamahatta Park. Takdah is 15 Km away, a short drive that takes you to the famous Rungli Rungliot tea estate. You can also cover the popular sightseeing spots of Darjeeling town, which is about an hour’s drive from here.
